Types of Therapy

Play Therapy
For young children, play is the way they communicate most effectively. Children may be able to communicate verbally with parents, siblings, and friends to express simple concepts, but play is the way they do the majority of their complex communicating, as well as the way they learn and grow.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is being fully awake to ourselves and the world around us. It involves being here for the moments of our lives, without striving or judging. You step fully into the moment. There is a sense of complete-ness and enough-ness. These can be the moments of our lives when we feel most at home with ourselves.
EMDR Therapy
Trauma is a very individualized concept. Every person responds to traumatic or stressful events differently. For example, for one individual, trauma may be a parent ridiculing their weight as a young child. For another, however, being in a car accident, or experiencing physical or sexual abuse growing up, or the divorce of a child’s parents is traumatic.
CPRT
Child-Parent Relationship Training (CPRT) is an evidenced-based parent training program for children with behavioral, social and emotional challenges. The core belief of CPRT is that a child’s parent plays the most essential role in promoting their child’s behavior, social and emotional development and therefore should be directly involved in services aimed at improving challenges in those areas.
